What’s the difference between a Chartered Financial Planner and an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA)?

A Chartered Financial Planner will look at your entire financial position, helping you set short and long term objectives, and advise on how best to achieve them. They will have access to all products across the financial spectrum.

An Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) tends to work to a specific brief provided but will have to consider your wider financial circumstances in doing so.
