Our situation
At the time we were first introduced to Roger, I was a Director of a marketing and communications company. We had grown rapidly from the start and we did all sorts, from events and conferences to brand design. Being involved in running a company can be all consuming; on duty 24 hours a day – living it really, with so many different facets to deal with. It was altogether exhilarating, fun and worrying all at the same time. It’s great when your business is your passion.
In time, we had an offer for the business that we couldn’t turn down and this fitted with my personal plans to spend more time with the family, so after careful consideration with the other Directors and shareholders, we took it. Although “retired” I still love being involved with business and I’m involved with one or two interesting projects on which I advise but I’m not involved day-to-day.
Why choose Bourlet Consulting?
My wife and I value the insightful and precise approach to planning and managing our investments. There is method to the way things are managed and everything makes sense. The way things are done is professional and very thorough and we feel that there is genuine thought put into our personal circumstances; we’re not given “off the shelf” answers.
We feel we need someone to trust who can provide an “informed counterbalance” to some of our ideas. We want someone who is discerning and who has experience of running a business who can independently challenge our thinking. Bourlet Consulting do just that.
We’re also a real advocate of information in concise form with the detail there should you need it. Over the years we’ve been impressed with this way of reporting on our investments; if you dig deeper for detailed information from the précis, it’s always there.
The result
“We feel we’re listened to, sensibly challenged and we are working to a plan. Having a cash flow to work to is great and it helps us feel we are on the right track to ensuring we have a comfortable lifestyle and that our investments will last our lifetime.
Knowing that if anything happens, we have everything covered gives us a feeling of comfort you can’t really quantify.”
